The Ouija board throughout the years has been known as the portal to the other side. For those who have dabbled in the use of the board in an effort of contacting loved ones from the spirit realm, most have little or no knowledge of who or what might be posing as something other than who they think might be. Though the board’s use was only used under quite seclusion during the 1800’s, mass production did not take place for the public to gain use of it till Parker Brothers obtained it’s rights in 1966 which in turn later was sold to Hasbro in 1991. This created an enormous amount of attention in the religious sector which frowned on it’s use to the public.
There are many who believe that using the board has it’s increased dangers for those that use it without a partner. This has been said to allow entities to take control of the person using the board more easily. By allowing the user to believe they are contacting a loved one or presenting themselves as a helpful friend, the user becomes more susceptible and eventually let their guard down, which can allow the entity to change tactics with destruction or possession.
Some people claim the use of the board makes for an additional tool in their investigative gear. This not only puts the user in potential danger, but also those around them, the team as well as the clients. As there are no guaranteed outcomes to the usage of the board, even the most experienced users cannot put in writing the final outcome will be a positive one. What does not happen does not suggest that nothing will arise later in the day, night, week or months. Considerable thought must be done before making such an attempt at using the board in any event of an investigation or personal use.
