Today’s reality shows have gone well and beyond the norm when it comes to showing the public what it want’s to see, and those related to ghost hunting programs are no exception even when it comes to YouTube programming. Unfortunately, many people have fallen into the stigma that running around yelling profanities with a camera, provoking spirits into doing something that would hopefully end up on their camera or audio recorders would give them the notoriety they hope for from social network sites. As ghost hunter shows began to gain more viewership, so did the urges for newcomers into the field to creating their own teams.
Newly growing teams grew in popularity basically by following what they thought to be considered standard protocol became a bit of unease for many as they began implementing their own versions of what the field should involve, bearing outlandish names with an essence of skull and crossbones. Finding cases and gearing up to venture into residential homes, places of business while proclaiming everything they saw or heard was tagged as paranormal or haunted. On a good note, after several other shows started hitting the tv screen, a few did manage to show actual methods that made sense to some viewers and who actually took the field seriously.
It was with these select few shows that they started taking notes at learning actual procedures like researching , equipment knowledge , documentation, terminology and so much more. Not only did this newly found information become a valuable asset to those wanting to create a team, but they learned that respecting the field involved actually respecting ghosts. Ghost hunters were not the only ones that learned the value of helping others, paranormal investigators started to thrive even more so now that tv programming started giving decent time slots for public viewing.
As of yet, the percentages are rather high for groups in the U.S. alone that fall into this particular category . With social network sites on the rise, it’s given much more space to the onslaught of entertainment mongers who are not really into the paranormal but look at it as just another venue to air their dark sides. For others, some have managed to stay true to the cause, teaching others the methods of the field. Whether it be ghost hunter or paranormal investigator, respecting the realm and helping others is what it really boils down to.
